Bathroom vanity and cabinet replacement

Project overview

The homeowner wanted the original cabinet and countertop replaced with custom Thomasville cabinets, new sinks, new sink plumbing, and coordinated countertop fabrication and installation without damaging the grasscloth wallpaper.

What was done

• Carefully removed the existing faucets which the homeowner wanted to reuse
• Safely removed the large custom-sized wall mirror and secured it away from the work area to reinstall afterwards
• Cautiously extracted the countertop, sinks, and cabinets without damaging the grasscloth wallpaper or baseboards
• Created new drain plumbing for the sinks and cut tightly fitting holes in the cabinets to support the new piping
• Installed the new cabinets with spacers and trim moulding and leveled all units together
• Coordinated with the marble fabricators and installers to get a clean, custom-fit marble countertop and sinks installed
• Installed and tested the faucets and all necessary plumbing
• Cut existing baseboards to support the new cabinetry
• Cleaned the entire area and reinstalled the mirror, cleaning it afterwards

Result

The bathroom was rebuilt with a clean custom fit, preserved finishes, and fully working sinks, plumbing, mirror, and cabinetry.
